People at the sea

Levels of membership and how to join Bodhi.

At present there are two levels of membership within Bodhi reflecting different levels of involvement in and commitment to the project.

These are 1) Associate Member and 2) Full member.

1) Associate Membership.

This is where to start to get involved in the project. As an associate member you will receive invitations to participate in Bodhi events, workshops and retreats. You will get reduced rates and advanced notification of our activities. You will receive the regular newsletter by email or post if you wish. We frequently require voluntary help in many forms, which can often be great fun and a good way to get to know each other and feel part of realising the vision. We need your input!

Recommended annual donation to maintain membership is £10. Joining as an associate is simple and available to all, just print and fill out the form below and send to the address below.

2) Full Member.

At this stage in our project, status as Full Member reflects a high level of commitment to the project as demonstrated by active involvement usually for at least a year*. Full membership is by approval of the board. As a full member you will be in a position to actively shape our future projects and can participate in decisions relating to changes in the articles of association as well as vote to elect people to serve as directors on the board.

Welcome Aboard!

*When the village is ‘on the ground’ there will be a separate process for becoming a village resident with its own criteria. More detail on this is found on page 3 of the social contract, and in the accompanying handbook. Full membership will remain open to non residents who play an active part in the project.
